How to smokey eye
Step 1
First, apply Liquid Concealer in Light Medium all over your eyelid from lash to brow.
Then, take the lightest shade in your palette (the Mineral Powder Pressed Foundation in the color Cream) and using the BOM-460 brush, apply this from your crease to your brow. Using the Mineral Powder Pressed Foundation is also going to give you a nice silky finish that will make blending much easier when applying the transition color.
Make sure you leave the lid area, from lash to crease, with just concealer. This will have a tacky feel that is going to give the deeper shades something to really grab onto

Step 2
Then, apply the transitional eyeshadow color in Cocoa with a BOM-430 brush. Start in your crease and blend up towards your brow.
Remember to always keep a clean blending brush to soften any harsh lines. Use the Duo Fiber brush to accomplish that.

Step 3
Take the eyeshadow contour color in Truffle and apply it with the BOM-48 smudger brush working from the crease down towards your lashes.
Break the lid into two sections in this step and leave the lower area of your lid closer to the lashes with just the concealer.

Step 4
Take the darkest color shadow, the smokey color in Burnt, and with the White Faux Smudger #624 brush apply this to the lower section of the lid by the lashes where you would put your liner but make it thicker.
Then, take your finger and gently press on the Burnt eyeshadow to pack it into your skin before blending.
This reduces fallout.

Step 5
Next, using the #624 White Faux Smudger brush begin smudging the smokey eyeshadow color in Burnt making sure that your hand is held at eye level and your pinky is resting on your cheek to prevent from blending too high.
Do not take it all the way to the crease.
Make sure your hand is at eye level because if the hand is held low it will blend the color up and you don’t want to do that.

Step 6
Then, take the smaller brush, the Chisel Tapered Fluff blush, and with the Mineral Powder Pressed Foundation in Cream apply it directly under your eyebrow and in the corner of your eye by the tear duct.
This is really going to brighten the eye.

Step 7
Next, you are going to tightline with the Waterproof Gel Eyeliner pencil in the color Noir.
Side note: Tightlining, also called invisible eyeliner, is a technique in which you line your upper waterline (the area at the base of the lashes) to subtly define and thicken the appearance of your eyelashes and define your eyes.

Step 8
Curl your lashes.
Apply a few coats of XLXL Mascara, false lashes or both! It is VERY important to create some full lashes with this look so apply two coats!
